I would have said the chances were pretty similar before and after... in the nil range either way.
But the US is one of the few countries both rich enough and physically large enough, with enough farmland, that this might actually be a viable option.

I doubt very much that the idea will even be suggested - save in sick jest, or by me <g>
Although the Palestinians aren't your enemies, BTW. Not now, anyhow.
