Correct me if I am wrong, but I though that the 12 months was from the initial tapeout? Is it not more like three months to go from the final tapeout to the packaged processor?

I'm not the expert, but I think that there is one tapeout milestone for which they bring out the band and the barbecue, and it's 12 months after that until any chips are produced.

Or are you suggesting that AMD has not produced development-level Hammers yet?

I haven't heard of any, have you?

Lots of people seem pretty sure that Hammer hasn't even reached initial (A0) tapeout.
