Yeah, that is one I wonder about.....I remember going to Philadelphia about 20 years ago, right when there was a teachers strike. You would have thought that these people had been starved to death, although they all seemed to have decent cars. Anyway, one of the things that disturbed me was that they timed the strike to hold up the opening of school, and the other thing that disturbed me was that night after night students could watch screaming, cursing, shoving, and other bad behavior from their teachers. I recall thinking, when I heard the city's offer, "My God, whatever is this about?", but I cannot remember the exact figures any more......
