>>OTOTOTOTOT

Blaming Clinton is utter BS, but not unexpected from the talk radio crowd. Do you really believe there was a will among the people to invade Afghanistan prior to Sept. 11? Or that Pakistan and Uzbekistan would have given us help doing it?

Clinton did what was politically feasible at the time. The Washington Post reported that there was a covert op to find and kill Bin Laden which was derailed by the overthrow of al-Haq in Pakistan. About the only way to get him is what we are doing now. Why didn't W. commence that operation on Jan. 22nd if it was just Clinton holding it back?

hunted down and punished
I think the sentencing for the World Trade Center bombing was last year, the African embassy sentencing was last week, the Khobar Towers suspects are awaiting extradition. Things move more slowly when treated as a crime than as an act of war.

OT***Hunting People Down ***

MM***In the search to hunt down those responsible for attacks on Americans, the CIA (like the KGB) cannot or should not brag on their successes. The CIA and the KGB in years past have done some brilliant things...but to brag on them would reveal their methods and helping participants. Because you dislike Clinton is no reason to place the failures of American Foreign policy on his head.
Bush Sr. cut the war on Iraq short by a few days and so Saddam still reigns, but I would not think of blaming him for the proliferation of terrorists that are supported by Iraq.

Simple finger pointing at the other political party as responsible for todays events reveals a shallowness in the thinking of the accuser.
