"very unclear to me the value of any union today." A collective to represent worker interests. In my youth I worked in a number of factories and warehouses and in one instance I worked in a facility that was unionized. I remember some of the poor dumb f*cks in some of these places and boy did they get screwed over with pay, sex and benefits. But in the unionized place, a meat packing subsidiary of McDonalds, the idiots got treated fairly or at least, everyone got treated the same, no one got taken advantage of. The unionized place was the best place I ever worked in as a teenager.
