I don't really know why, but amcc has a number of other favorable attributes to the stock:

Ceo bought a lot of shares on the open market
Company has a generous stock buy back in place and has actually been buying back shares
Revenues really did come in where guidance was and flat q over q with guidance the same for next quarter. Likely this really does represent the bottom in revenues
Earnings loss was a penny better than expected
No more lay offs
Guidance for at least some growth next year and it's no worse than the ceo thought in July
Csco is the biggest customer and they are stable according to John Chambers. David Rickey seems to agree at least as far as amcc goes
Broad breadth of products
Pricing is not coming under pressure
Some old design wins are worthless but new ones are replacing them
Book to Bill greater than one on some products (still less than one overall)
Lots of cash in the bank
Loss estimates were reduced by analysts
Good management

Um... did I miss anything else?

I still think it's pretty expensive and will move into a range and have my doubts that it will go over 13 for a while but who knows?

The stock looks good other than low volume.
