I don't really see a disagreement here, Hawk. Arafat's economic dependency on Israel is all the more reason why really trying the Oslo peace process, instead of just pretending to try it, would have been a rational decision for him. The Israelis and Palestinians have to live with each other somehow. Arafat's policies have sacrificed all hopes of peace today and tomorrow in exchange for a promise of "throwing the crusaders out of Jerusalem" in a hundred years.
