Different arrangement. FASL is run breakeven, not as a foundry. This way, AMD gets the unit cost of producing themselves, and doesn't take the risk, or have to front the costs, of a fab. But you probably knew that.

Not really. They have produced flash, off and on, at Fab25. After they phase out Morgan, it will be more on than off.
