Yep. They have a taste for meetings and foot dragging. And it is virtually impossible to get someone to actually make a decision. I think the deal about cutting off a finger when someone makes a mistake occurs in other organizations outside the yakuza.

Get you over there after an 11 hour plane ride, put you in a room all day with a half dozen chain smokers (although they are getting better at that), and then try to get commitments when jet lag is at it's max. How about a cold box lunch with the 7" shrimp still moving (or was that the smoke or the jet lag?). Anyway, it'd have to be a very sweet deal.
