Hey, you beat me to the punch! :) Yes, it is nice to see someone out there who actually appreciates what the quality movement did for the world. Japan did the world a great favor by giving organizations a real 'urgency to change'. As we now take for granted 200K miles on our cars. We still have a long way to go in order to get close to the what Michael Porter calls "The production Frontier curve". And it's mainly because the body of knowledge is so vast and difficult to comprehend, few take on the challenge of implementing it in a sustained way.
