That's a more likely scenario, IMO. Stay in a range until the EPS improve enough that the PE is below historical norms. Then, another bull market will follow.

It could take a long time, but this is the scenario I'd call likely. MSFT trading at a PE of 10 or whatever, isn't a probability, unless the economy slides into a massive depression.
