<<just different value systems again>>

My hunch is that our CIA may take on 'a different value system' again after the 11th....with its new Presidential directive and its Billion dollar anti-terrorism budget they may get serious and start to inflict SOME REAL PAIN on Al Quaeda and many other global terrorist organizations. This is long overdue BUT I think they are like a sleeping giant that has been awakened again. Most Americans just want results and WILL NOT want to learn about the tactics the CIA may be using in its most important battle ever.

Just my views.

Regards,

Scott

>"suicide bombers in Lebanon, surviving families receive welfare checks Hezbollah takes care of its own"

Good point -- that will change as funds are cut off.
Eventually these families proud of lost martyred sons will find further hardships, and not be so tolerant of "Omar's new hobby".

The CNN piece you mentioned showed a 3-day celebration after each suicide bomb attack. That will have less enthusiasm when it's clear that only military action and hardship follow, rather than celebrations and subsidies.

What isn't clear is how large this recruiting effort really is. It would be very useful to know how effective they are as this war proceeds.

The huge difference is that we value life and the Palestinians don't.

Not that surprising, given their history and sense of hopelessness.

It shows that their leadership has nothing more than hate to offer as a rallying point and motivator.

Perhaps they ought to be asked what they would do if they succeeded in destroying their "enemies."

Doubtless, they'd have no answer. They'd have to find new enemies as an outlet for their anger and hopelessness, but then they would only have one another to murder.
