I believe, Al, that it would be necessary only to enter the quantity of shares as a minus figure. This would cause a gain to be recorded by a FALL in price. Thus, it could simply be an part of the same contest. A separate contest would be neither necessary nor desirable.

However, I think that shorting is more appropiate to the over $3.00 contest.

Many of my best "investments" this year were on the short side, but I don't think I've ever (or would ever) short an under $3.00 stock. You'd have to enter a negative number of shares and use the Friday closing BID price.
