Debka's take is significantly different from that of Haaretz or the Jerusalem Post. Haaretz is reporting that Israel will withdraw within 48 hrs under American pressure.
We will see what Arafat has to do -- if it's the usual promises and arrests, Israel has lost this round.

BTW, I find Hamas guys dying in "mysterious car explosions" strange. If Israel is behind these (as seems certain) why aren't they admitting it? They are up-front about most of the targeted killings.

One thing I noticed was that in one of the explosions, it was noted that the Hamas guy was driving a stolen Mercedes. Do you suppose that Israel is leaving really nice booby-trapped cars around to be stolen by the PA's cartheft rings, then waiting to set them off when they get intelligence that somebody they want is driving them? Could they do this? I was just wondering...
