Jay, a decrease in short interest is anything but bullish.

Precisely why I said On the other hand, there is no built floor of "buyers" (shorts that have to cover), so the stocks can drop quickly

However, the above is meaningless. I screwed up. AMAT's short interest looked low to me so I posted without checking. Only NVLS, at 9.7%, is down slightly. AMAT is actually up slightly while KLAC is up sizably to 7.1% Sorry for the bad info.

It's too bad we don't have better info. Published info is as of 9/10, not very helpful now.

I notice more and more acrimonious political comments on this "non-political" thread. If you are serious about keeping politics out you should start banning posters who violate the rules.
