that 220- 200 number only would appear possible, if you look at the chart of the entire move from 1970 until now. I've seen a few Elliott Wavers who are pretty good, view this as a Possibiliity but by no means that it HAS to happen. I imagine that GOLD could make a new low only in a major deflationary liquidation, that would see the NASD at 1000 and the DJIA at 5500. All of the liquidity in the system makes that unlikely, unless we get some exogenous shocks, that we don't know of yet. If Gold makes a base here or even a few dollars lower the chart will look bullish. John
