Perhaps it would be fairer if Intel did the auditing instead of an unbiased, independent third party.

The suite of benchmarks is subject to change at their whim, and the third party only makes sure that the results are not fake. Big deal.

It would be better if other companies, such as Intel, Via, and even Microsoft, had a say in which benchmarks to choose in the suite.
