HJ: China has something like 1.3 billion people, of which 300 million or so live in cities -- roughly the size of the United States. The WTO opens China's market for agricultural products to the USA and other countries -- this along with other trends will double the number of people living in cities in the next ten years. That will be like building 25 cities the size of New York in the next ten years. Add to that the increasing purchasing power of Chinese people and the need to build infrastructure and you have the only true growth engine of major proportions in the world -- the transition will be tough, but the growth is there. Aloha from Hawaii (I have been back home for an hour)
