OT ">>>I'm avoiding politics today<<< Mike that's the funniest thing you said in weeks".

I lied.

Jerome,
Dont read my posts. Read Jacobs. He carefully defined the terms of use of nukes and the folks who disagree with him won't address what he said. Chernobyl and Hiroshima are not relevent in discussing Jacob's scenario. Nobody wants to bomb Kabul or blow up a reactor(at least on our side). Jacob is talking about 5000 dead maniacs and a collapse system of caves.
The only question then becomes is when and whether we should cross the nuclear line. Rational arguments exist on both sides. I suspect you agree with this. mike

OT Jerome, don't believe everything you read. People are moving back to Chernobyl and have been for some time. They are reinstituting their old lives. Farming, fishing hunting and so forth.
