Dear JC:

We could have been really nasty and call the P4, "P-Foul". It is just changing the last letter from "P-Four". But, we rose above the childish remarks frequently used by others.

Pete

JC,

I think there is a perfectly good reason why Intel called Willamette P4, and not P IV. It would scare off the Intel customers, because they would think they need to take it intravenously. Besides, a person dumb enough to buy a P4 probably can't count to 4 in roman numeral.

What personally bothers me is that until now, saying P5, P6, etc meant you are talking about the core, and now it is suddenly a brand of a product.
