Apple has the whole world believing that the PowerPC G4 is a "Supercomputer on a chip" despite having a negligible share of the personal computer market.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but AMD's goal of 30% market share is misguided. I believe that's the fundamental flaw in AMD's business model.

This is wrong. AMD needs only to be able to match Intel's market share to set new standards. If VIA grabs 30% of the market, AMD could set new standards with as little as a 35% market share.
