Don,

how many times have we heard the same thing, at various
levels on the way down?

Is there anyone left who will believe that?

Not me, anyway!

Namaste!

Jim

Don and the thread. I am an optimist by nature. I have however been burnt so many times throughout this Bear market that I have to fight my nature and trust technical analysis using fundamental analysis as a secondary factor. While I would like to believe that the bottom is in I have seen, nor heard, anything so positive in forward guidance to lead me to believe this is a certainty. Therefore although it looks as though the SOX will set a new post 9-11 high, within the next few trading sessions, I would be inclined to expect we trade lower again from there. In fact if the recovery is delayed as much as it might be by the current state of the world economy (and terrorism) I feel new lows might be possible by year end.

Once earnings announcements slow down all we will have to concentrate on is terrorism and slowing economies. This does not add up to a new Bull Market. Not yet.
