briefing 13:46 ET Oracle Corp (ORCL) 14.65 -0.36 (-2.4%): Hearing from sources on a DB Alex. Brown conference call with Oracle that company's CFO expects things to get worse before they get better, with more downside than upside in the near term. We have not been able to confirm these comments with the company, but they would seem to mirror comments out of Merrill Lynch last week that near-term outlook remains cloudy and earnings growth into early CY02 is likely to be poor.
