Maybe Sanders' thinks that if AMD can get to 30% market share, they wouldn't need to market, that somehow the 30% would be self-sustaining. Just a thought.

athlon is well received in retail market with market share of 40%+. Advertising is mostly, IMHO, directed toward retail.
Breaking into commercial sector is harder and has more to do with relationship with oems rather than advertisement. Advertisement would help very little with oems.
