Saying that Clinton "streamlined" the military is like "streamlining" a letter carrier by cutting off an arm. Too bad Clinton didn't "streamline" any other part of the government.

haqi, can you imagine how Gore would have led us in this time of war if he had won by throwing out the overseas military votes? I shutter to think... The way the media is reacting to the anthrax attack is amazing. Since so many of them are left wing journalists, they never fully realized that each generation of Americans has been called on to pay a price for the freedoms we enjoy. Oh, sure, they may have read or spoken the words in the past, but they never truly understood what they mean. It's now shaking them to the core to see that price staring them right in the mail. It's also interesting to watch the way the mainstream media and pacifist left is reacting toward trying to understand why we were attacked. Reminds me of the way a battered wife will blame herself instead of the creep who is beating her up. "no, it must be something I've done". Wrong, it's something he has done!
