the point was that intel claimed market gain of few points for each of the last 3 quarters. In fact amd gained market share over that period.
Intels math: 3+3+3=.7

there was no bragging rights war here, no one doubted that amd would loose some share in the last quarter and I feared it might have been on the order of 5%. The fact that it is less than 1% is a major victory for amd and if the rumors of intel raising p4 prices is true then intel realized it as well
