if you believe that, then you misunderstand me. I take AMD's $190 million loss as part of the reason why they are at a $3.4 billion market cap, while Intel is at $171.4 billion. Intel has shown investors that in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression (in some people's opinion), they can still make acquisitions and turn a profit. AMD has showed that in order to maintain record units, they have to lower ASPs to the point where their pro-forma costs are 18% higher than their sales. Investors have every reason to value the stock lower because of this. However, I don't think that it means that AMD will go even lower... yet.
