Sometimes it doesn't work. I usually follow the 8% to 10% rule whereby if a stock trades down over 8% from my initial buy price, it kicks me out. Adhered to the rule for AC and was severely burned. Bought it at 2.03 and was kicked out at 1.83. Of course, initially it looked like the rule worked rather nicely.....
