My reference to thinking, however, was meant to address the concept of responsibility. We are accountable for choosing how we affect the planet and her inhabitants. We are responsible for knowing what we value and why--and for consciously avoiding the path of the thoughtless and the mindless.

But if all of ethics is relative is not responsibility relative as well? If you don't think you are responsible for consciously avoiding the path of the thoughtless or trying to affect the planet and the inhabitants of it in positive rather then negative ways, then wouldn't you not be responsible, and anyone holding you accountable is just imposing their values (which can't be said to be better then yours) on you?
