Bill, Roger McNamee is looking for investors for a new investment bank so I gave him your name.
No one has ever heard of William Harmond...why is this? curious minds want to know.
``There is a huge need for a new boutique investment bank,'' said Roger McNamee, a partner with Integral Capital Partners. ``In times of major distress, the value of great advice, investment banking or legal, goes up exponentially.''

The young technology companies having trouble raising capital need extensive hand-holding, said McNamee, and ``the cost structures of the major banks limits most of their activities to larger companies.''

But these days, those seeking to replicate the success of the original Four Horsemen -- Hambrecht & Quist, Montgomery Securities, Alex. Brown and Robertson Stephens -- face a grueling deal market that leaves even big firms hustling for scraps.
