CB, that link is a good primer on anthrax. I see that the vaccine requires an initial sequence of shots that takes 18 months before it is fully effective. Then you need an annual booster shot. It only provides immunity for 91% of the people taking it. Even with immunity, you could still be overwhelmed by a big dose of spores.

Furthermore, I saw on TV that the vaccine is not currently being manufactured. A private company took over the Michigan facility, but they have had severe problems starting up production. Finally, Jill mentioned that the anthrax vaccine has been mentioned by some as a possible factor in Gulf War Syndrome.
