It is sad indeed, and does nothing for America's image around the world, when the leaders of the country come right out and say the ONE thing that MOST characterizes Americans is they BUY and SPEND. They have not hinted, but flatly said, "If you are a true American, you will SPEND!" It doesn't matter that you and everyone else are in debt to your eyeballs. It does not matter that corporations are given the green light to make up their financial numbers and pumped to the masses on sponsored TV each day. Debt means nothing. You can always declare bankruptcy and stick it to those who work for a living as record numbers of Americans are now doing. You can always just quit your job and collect public assistance -- EVERYONE qualifies in this great country. I know this sounds cynical, but the hypocrisy and love of money going on at every level is really beyond belief! Does ANYONE doubt where 99% of people will stand when the lines form for the mark of the beast in order to buy and sell? I remain, SOROS
