I know, but why will they be wrong this time. Why will Siebel continue to stay in the lead?

The question is, do their prospects have a weak need for CRM, i.e., pretty much any old version will do so having one from the same vendor as the ERP is a plus, or is this really an important application where having the best makes a big difference, in which case they might start with the ERP's version, but the migrate to something better? Seems to me that Siebel has been demonstrating that it is a very important application and that the people who are willing to settle for less than the best simply haven't figured that out yet ... but they will.

techreports,

Why will Siebel continue to stay in the lead?

Barring a discontinuous innovation that unseats the entire sub-industry, Siebel will stay in the lead because of the way markets evolve as explained in the manual.
