AMD paid $860,000,000 - and the NEXgen engineers are still on Hammer

Is there a good link showing AMD's earnings back to late '95 when they bought NexGen? I'm still curious if they're under water still after blowing that money.

Yes, they paid that money for NexGen. What were they supposed to do, fire the engineers? Is that what Intel does when they acquire all those companies? Maybe that is why they can't generate a profit from those companies...

If AMD had bought NexGen specifically for the Hammer, you'd have a point. But they didn't, even you can't twist it enough for that.
