You are not lost... we ARE talking the ECRI stuff. You are talking about the weekling leading indicator and I am taling about the FIG. I have observed that the Feds lower rates when the FIG is -2 or below and raise it when it is over +2. Or they should because they missed the boat about a year ago and caused all this mess. If they HAD, we would already be at 1% interest rate and already out of the woods.

The FIG seems to be bottoming which is, to my mind, the FIRST indication of a reversal in the economy. The WLI will be affected next.
