One of the things I am keying off today on the TA side is the potential wedge on NDX. On, say, a 30min chart, start the bottom line off the opening low of Oct 22 and it becomes clear.

The NDX premarket indicator says we'll open up right on the line.

Gap down is probing under said potential wedge. Given that, a decent move into the gap would be a warning sign for me that this down is a headfake. In the meantime, go with the odds and call it real.
