Louis - Geez, you're getting pretty gloomy, don't you think? 1929 was "only a correction"? You're almost making me think I shouldn't have brought children into this world, and outlooks don't get much gloomier than that.

What to do? Probably study what happened in Japan when they put themselves inside the same box a decade ago - invest outside your own economy where things look better. Needless to say, Japanese investors had better choices then than we do now - they had the benefit of going first LOL

If you're not up for heavily shorting the market in the Joseph Kennedy style, maybe there is a Belgian chocolate factory or brewery up for sale you could invest in? We will be needing chocolate (so we can feel loved) and lots of beer (so we won't care) during this forecasted super-depression.

Or maybe find some avenue for catering to the super rich who have so much and are so hedged they can't lose it, depression or not. For example, Lamborghini sales will fall off but they won't disappear entirely, and many a Fifi will still need a regular wash and clip.

Now where did I put that grooming brush and pair of nail clippers......
