Hi bazan,

Good to hear from you.

I'm irritated at myself about AKLM - I used to trade it as you may recall - but when dropped to 4, I was losing interest, and when it bottomed last month I told myself to watch for it to trade back to the 3 to 3.25 area. Last week it kept hitting scans and I kept meaning to study, but was distacted by the likes of BRCD, JNPR and QLGC. Silly me. Now it's broken first resistance (around 4) and is pushing against next level just shy of 5. Nice volume, but as you said that they reported last night (I failed to note that on my long term chart), I'm a bit suspect of today's otherwise nice gap and volume. It could be a breakaway gap up, but I'd wait for a retest of 4 or confirming break of 5.

Of course I gave you similar advice once on (was it?) IPIC - then it imediately broke the overhead resistance and ran away, so take my caution with a dose of DD.

Meanwhile got back in RMBS again at 9.25.

hi bazan,

Haven't forgotten about AKLM, just distracted and gone today. Looks like it cleared that resistance I spoke of and volume is coming in as well. Good signs. From briefing.com this was posted today, and confirms what I've been suspecting:
Acclaim (AKLM) 5.42 +0.27 (+5.2%): While a number of the video game makers appear to be losing steam following big ramp into Xbox launch, AKLM is making an assault on its $5.50 one-yr high set in June. Today's advance occuring on volume of 1.25 mln, or 1.6x avg. daily turnover. AKLM shares are coming off an Oct 25 upgrade by UBS Warburg to Buy from Hold based on valuation, increased confidence in estimates, and improved balance sheet; called AKLM a way to play the video game cycle at a P/E multiple that is much lower than peer group. Forward P/Es 13.9 and 10.4.

There may still be time to get in, we'll see Mon., but AKLM did drop about .15 after this hit the wires. Keep picking them, and remind me to pay attention. <VBG>
