Lino, Francis has been doing a terrific job at exposing the incompetence of Chretien and his staff, but I'll be damned if I can figure out why Ontario keeps these Liberals in power. Both the Sun newspaper chain and the National Post have been extremely critical of this gang - yet...

I don't know…I'm out here in Alberta, and business wise, trade happens in a North - South direction. I really don't see the need for confederation especially if it means that Alberta money is being used to pay for Sheila Copps multi-million dollar pension plan.

Regards
Frank P.

...Ontario where they belong...

Please, please, please, don't make the error of assuming all residents of Ontario are alike. Those who do not live in major cities are just, and often even more, angry, outraged, upset, and filled with unbridled rage over the federal Liberals and the fools who continually elect them as anyone in Western Canada.

Having well meaning Western Canadians, people with whom we agree on many issues, assuming all Ontario residents support the Liberals is an agonizing experience. Not only do we suffer from having Liberals in power, we're getting the blame for putting them there.

I'm not denying that Ontario sends more Liberal trained seals to Ottawa than any other province. I also realize that that those who vote Liberal in Ontario far outnumber those who don't. What I'm trying to make clear is that Ontario has a number of people who do not support the Liberals.

I consider voting Liberal an act of lunacy.
