Although I disagree with AMD's extremist pricing strategies, I think that it's silly to point out that an increase in market share is to Intel's expense. Are Linux or Mac OS coders automatically bad guys because they're trying to take away market share from the dominant player? Is VIA a bad guy for trying to take market share from Intel? Heck, even Intel is trying to take market share! This is normal, and Intel only seems to be targeted here, because (A) Jerry Sanders complains about Intel's business practices and proportionately poor product lines, and (B) since everybody aside from Intel and AMD have negligible market shares, the *only* company that has market share to give up to AMD would be Intel.

like I said, a year ago your argument would have some merit. I am not going to try to convince you that the only way for a company to participate in this game is to have minimum market share

T.,

Maybe you haven't noticed, but for the past four or five years, Sanders kept repeating his goal of taking 30% market share, obviously at Intel's expense.

I think Sanders believe that Intel should "share". That's what they teach in pre-school, don't they? <g>
