you wrote: 'Besides, you do not include in your calculations the amount generated in taxes or benefits gained by bailing them out or the costs associated with making them fail. These subtract from your figures [of the cost of this fraud].'

This is your usual bizarre logic. What in the world are you talking about? What pray tell were the huge benefits to bailing out the S&L's? How can costs associated with bailing S&L's out reduce my overall cost number? Forgivness of debt, inter alia, is a GAIN hombre.

In any event, you keep adding the phrase ' A single fraud case generated by one company' when that was NEVER in your original assertion! It must be easy for you to win arguments b changing your premise on the fly LOL Wanna bmw might be right about you.

To put this to rest I will simply prove you wrong (again) even given your new made up requirements!

The largest single fraud case by one company was not an insurance fraud it was publically syndicated limited partnerships sold by Prudential Bache in the 1980s. Read Serpent on the Rock : Crime, Betrayal and the Terrible Secrets of Prudential Bache. Prudential paid over $1 billion to investors, making this the costliest settlement in Securities and Exchange Commission history. Now I know you will try to quibble that more than one L.P. was involved. Pluuuuease, I have already given you too much leeway. Where is the detail to your 'billion dollar insurance fraud' I am sure we will find you have your facts fuzzy there as we've seen here over and over. Good luck!
