>>I expected stagflation - but what were the best investments were when that happened in the 70's<<
Heck if I know. I was playing sand lot baseball with my friends back then. All I knew about the economy was that half their dads were out of work.

Heinz was predicting stagflation 2 years ago but we were all hoping he would be wrong since it is tough to win in that type scenario. Inflation buy Gold, deflation cash is king, stagflation your screwed. -NG-

Oooops - JDSU just issued another buy signal -gggg- From Briefing....

16:19 ET JDS Uniphase (JDSU) 9.90 +0.83: Reports Q1 (Sep) loss of $0.20 which includes global realignment charges and is thus not comparable to the First Call consensus of ($0.03); revenues of $329 mln were better than the Multex consensus of $325 mln. Company warns for Dec qtr; revenues seen at $280-296 mln vs the consensus of $316 mln}; loss seen at $0.01-0.02, in line with the Multex consensus. CNBC and Dow Jones reported that Dec qtr revenues would rise 2-3% - that is not correct, JDSU says they will fall 10-15%.

Good Luck,

Lee
