Doubtful that it's higher than it was pre 09/11. Since then the NYSE short interest has dropped about 35%, from 6% to 4% per IBD. There may be another marginal new high at this point, but the next 20% is down....

JNPR will always have a large short interest, right up to the time they're bought out by Cisco for 50 cents a share....<G>
