I used Word 4 for quite a while, until Microsoft changed file formats and exchanging documents with the rest of the world became difficult. Then I changed over to WordPro -- "a better Word than Word" (and much cheaper). When my hard disk crashed earlier this year, I didn't even bother to reinstall my old copy of Word, and haven't regretted the decision.

Now StarOffice is replacing WordPro in my household.
