I don't trust anything coming from the Chinese at the moment. Also how would the Chinese get such detailed information on this so called assasination of bin Laden and Omar if they were not somehow closely involved with the Taliban in Afghanistan? Remember they recently announced that they had no ties with the Taliban since the September 11th attack. I think this is a disinformation campaign and the Chinese may be helping the enemy ... JMO. The Chinese need to make up their minds on whether they have close ties with the Taliban in recent weeks or they don't ... you can't have it both ways. I think the Chinese want to spread disinformation so that they can attack what the U.S. is doing in Afghanistan. On October 24 a Chinese internet news site, Zhongxin Wang, ran a piece describing in detail the purported assassination of Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar by members of their retinue at an underground base near Kandahar on October 16. Joe, I had to comment here. This story is very interesting, as I have been wondering of late as to why Sec. Rumsfield is now saying that it is possible we will never capture or kill him. Why all of a sudden are they trying to get the American people used to this idea, when in fact we accomplish nothing without killing him. Furthermore, it is also my opinion, we must capture or kill ( preferably kill ) all al queida members and for that matter the taliban. We can not do what was done in Iraq, when we left without killing saddam hussein. These people must be killed to avert future disasters in our country.
