The question doesn't apply. Intel isn't losing money by fighting for 80% or more. AMD is losing money with their kamakaze run to 30%.

So Intel isn't making as much money as they used to. At least they're still making money.

Ok, again, Intel made $2.5 billion a year ago, and now they made $106 million. From 28.7% of the sales to 1.6%, which is within the margin of error.

Are you saying that Intel strategy is 100% correct, but if the earnings came out on the other end of margin of error, say $7 million tax liability instead of $100 million (oops, there goes the Q3 microprocessor profit), and Intel lost a few million, the strategy would be 100% incorrect, in fact it would be a kamikaze run?
