I believe John Y. is living in Florida now. He and Phyllis have been separated for some time. Maybe as long as 10 years. I believe she might be living in New York City. I don't think he ever served any time in jail. I'll check it out later tonight if I have time. Patton has announced he will run against Bunning in '04. Patton is a popular governor, but the state has swung decidedly conservative/Republican in the past decade. It's hard to gauge Bunning's true popularity, since he defeated a weak Democrat and poor campaigner (Congressman Scotty Baesler of Lexington) in '98. If I were a betting man, I'd put $5 on Patton to win that race in '04.
