Intel said that volumes would be "tight" in Q4. Yes, I know that means shortages, but the question is, short of what value, and by how much? I think there is far more Pentium 4 demand than Intel thought, and that they can meet demand, but just barely. You obviously think that demand is still down relative to the economy, and that Intel still has problems manufacturing Pentium 4. Add to that the rumors on this thread that Intel has yield problems, problems with .13u manufacturing, and problems with Northwood performance, and yeah, things would probably look grim for Intel. If that were true, then AMD would gain back market share.

I don't think that is true.
