I'm trying out the Star Office Suite today -- ever try to do something with equations in Word?? Not even worth trying -- ten times easier in this suite

Excel has soooo many features that just plain don't work -- especially with respect to DB connectivity -- the SW architects of that cr^p studied under Mickey or Rube, I'm not sure which ... I'm done. I think you know how I feel <vbg>

My next project at work will involve Linux...should be interesting. I've used Solaris for years

Got into that same boat earlier this year. Went from Solaris Everywhere to Win2k on top with linux farms in the back. Works surprisingly well!

And no, we have no plans, near or mid term, to sidegrade to XP from 2k.

They talked up win98 in the same glorius fashion. Uncle Bill can really spew a line on how wonderful it all is, but in the end its just another windows. Much like 98 wasnt any better than 95.
