IGIT:

Here's as brief an answer I can give about the Teachings of Adi Da contrasted with those of Jesus.

First of all, Adi Da asserts that the Teachings of Jesus that are contained in the New Testament are the EXOTERIC Teachings (those that address matters of common everyday living) and not the ESOTERIC Teachings (those that address fully the TRANSCENDENCE of everyday living). He says that the esoteric teachings of Jesus were ELIMINATED from the "official" texts at the Council of Nicaea. See:

newadvent.org

Adi Da's Teaching (which is incredibly complete, on all matters) is definitely an ESOTERIC Teaching which also contains its EXOTERIC applications. It might be summarized as:

-- there is NOTHING but the Divine (and that includes so-called space)

-- EVERYTHING arises in the Divine

-- there is NO separation from the Divine, ever. Never has been, never will be, never could be.

-- HOWEVER, that is not the EXPERIENCE of most people. The experience of most people is that of separated individuality.

-- that sense of separated individuality can also be termed
the "ego" or the "self-contraction"

-- the ego is not an entity but an ACTIVITY.

-- said in another way, everything is LIVED by the Divine,
but instead we experience separated individuality because we CONTRACT AGAINST or resist that Light, Truth, Love, Power of the Divine, which is our fundamental existence.

-- There is a process whereby a self-contracted so-called
individual being may stop contracting against that which Lives them (and everything and everyone else)

-- The help of the LIVING Spiritual Master is essential in that process. (Adi Da describes the process, totally)

-- There have ALWAYS been Spiritual Masters in this world
(and all worlds) at all times

-- Jesus was such a Spiritual Master. But so were many others. And so is Adi Da (in THESE times)

Now I suspect that this is pretty radical for you!

However, based on the viewpoint about Jesus I have learned from my Teacher, I would say that Jesus' Teachings in the New Testament are a SUBSET of His total Teachings, and if these were more readily available to us, there would be startling similarities to what:

-- other Teachers since
-- Adi Da now

are saying.

If you still have any appetite for the comparing of Jesus to Adi Da, let me know and I will send you in a PM a discourse called:

"A Birthday Message from Jesus and me" given by Adi Da some years ago.

I would welcome anyone on this thread presenting the core, esoteric Teaching of their Path, so that we could better see and understanding the commonalities and differences
(hopefully in a mode of tolerance and respect).

Namaste!

Jim
